Our Founders
Sharon Memoi
Managing Member, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Her Journey: Sharon's path to engineering excellence began when she was chosen for the prestigious Alliance Girls High School in Kenya, one of the country's most respected educational institutions. This foundation launched her toward a distinguished career in engineering.
Continuing her pursuit of excellence, Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where she honed her technical expertise and passion for sustainable solutions.
Driven by her commitment to community empowerment and climate action, Sharon founded Go Green Kenya, a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental education and sustainable development initiatives across Kenya.
As a lead researcher and economic modeler, Sharon spearheaded innovative work on hybrid solar-biomass greenhouse dryers for processing mangos in Kenya. This groundbreaking project combined renewable energy technology with agricultural innovation, demonstrating her ability to bridge technical excellence with real-world impact.
Sharon's journey—from a top Kenyan high school to a U.S. engineering degree, from nonprofit founder to cutting-edge researcher—exemplifies Tawi Meridian's mission: technical excellence rooted in community impact and sustainable development.
Management Role
As Managing Member and Chief Executive Officer, Sharon has full authority over day-to-day operations, business development, client relationships, and strategic direction of Tawi Meridian. All contracts, proposals, and client agreements are executed by the Managing Member, and all major business decisions require her approval.
Eric Kvale
Chief Technology Officer, Senior Data Scientist & Co-Founder
Professional Experience: Eric serves as a Senior Data Scientist with the Minnesota Department of Health, where he applies advanced analytics and data science techniques to public health challenges. His expertise in government systems and public health data ensures that Tawi Meridian's solutions are data-driven, efficient, and aligned with real-world agency requirements.
Technical Leadership: In 2025, Eric was a presenter at ShinyConf, the premier conference for R and Shiny developers, where he delivered a presentation on AI, R, and accessibility. This recognition highlights his expertise at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and inclusive design.
Eric brings deep expertise in data science, analytics, and government contracting to Tawi Meridian. His experience with public health data systems and government workflows enables seamless integration with federal and state agency requirements, while his commitment to accessibility ensures that our solutions serve all users effectively.
Through his work at MDH and his contributions to the data science community, Eric embodies Tawi Meridian's commitment to technical excellence, accessibility, and data-driven solutions that create meaningful impact.
Management Role
As Chief Technology Officer & Senior Data Scientist, Eric provides technical expertise and project delivery on a consulting basis. Eric maintains separate full-time employment with the Minnesota Department of Health and provides services to Tawi Meridian during non-working hours. Eric's involvement is expected to transition from part-time consulting to full-time employment as business revenue supports, anticipated within 18-24 months of formation.

1. Managing Member & CEO
Sharon Memoi serves as Managing Member and Chief Executive Officer, with full authority over day-to-day operations, business development, client relationships, and strategic direction. All contracts, proposals, and client agreements are executed by the Managing Member. All major business decisions (expenditures, hiring, strategic partnerships) require approval of the Managing Member.
2. Chief Technology Officer & Senior Data Scientist
Eric Kvale serves as Chief Technology Officer & Senior Data Scientist, providing technical expertise and project delivery on a consulting basis. Eric maintains separate full-time employment with the Minnesota Department of Health and provides services to Tawi Meridian during non-working hours.
3. Future Growth
Eric's involvement is expected to transition from part-time consulting to full-time employment as business revenue supports, anticipated within 18-24 months of formation.
